   Tattoo RemovalThe Q-switched Ruby laser remains the most effective laser for removing tattoos. Colors that respond best are: Blue, black, and green. Red often responds - but not always. Purple , orange, brown and white ink do not respond well. Patients can expect 3-8 treatments, usually 6 weeks apart, to successfully remove a tattoo. Scarring is possible but rare. While most black,blue and green tattoos respond to laser treatment - some tattoos are stubborn and are resistant to treatment.
